there really was no reason for that title, but i have been listening to that song a lot. not because it has any particular meaning, but because the song is BA.
aaanyway, i have some exciting news. are you prepared? i hope so, because I'M MOVING TO SPAIN FOR THE SPRING!!! i can't even tell you how excited i am to be going. one of my dreams is to wake up in a place i've never been, somewhere i don't have any ties to, and to meet people and travel and do amazing things. and the opportunity is fast approaching, and i cannot even describe the feeling. it's going to be so awesome!
... too bad i have to make it through the rest of the semester. bah! i have been so busy. i dont' think i've ever been this busy in my entire life. my days are consumed with studying. that's all i do. i barely ever watch tv (which is probably a very good thing), and i don't have much time for anything else. even my weekends are full of studying. the silver lining is that i can honestly call myself a kickass student. because let's face it: i've gotten wayy higher than the class averages on every test i've taken this semester because of my ridiculous studying habits. and i'm proud of it. m-hm.
random side note: i hate the cold. it's just no good. it's been rainy and cold and i'm just not havin' it. grrrr. it is SO not conducive to studying! all i want to do is curl up in my bubble chair and take a nap. too bad i have ANOTHER round of tests next week.
... and the beat goes on.
peace, love, and chai tea lattes!

well...
i sung for about two hours today. it felt wonderful. there aren't a whole lot of things in this world that make me happier than singing. or playing piano. or just listening to music. it's the best feeling to just put away your troubles for three minutes and let the music engulf you, let it take over all your senses.
when i'm singing, i pretend like there is a huge crowd, hanging on my every note, and then i open my eyes and no one is there. just me and my stereo. i finally got the courage to start putting videos on youtube. they don't sound the best, but whatever, i guess. i am showing my fellow youtubers how much i love to sing, not trying to get famous, although that would be a wonderful perk of putting videos on youtube. the chances of that happening are slim to none though :P.
i used to wish that i could just drop everything, move to new york city, find an agent and start performing. then i realized that life happens, and most people never even get one casting. it's the sad, bitter, real truth. i wish it weren't, but that's why i'm in college. studying nursing. don't get me wrong, i am really excited about becoming a nurse and helping people heal, it's just not as glamorous. we all need a little glamour in our lives. hell, maybe i'll try out for American Idol, or just sing in a piano bar on the weekends. either way, i will always want to be known as The Nurse Who Sings. here's the link to one of my videos: www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKozyHhmdgo
